Workshop News: July 2015

We’ve had quite a busy month in the Studio – with two workshops and the Presbyterian ladies knitting and crocheting up a storm for charity.

The Studio was bursting at the seams when the Presbyterian ladies popped in for an afternoon of crochet and knitting.

All of their completed work is donated to charity – and with the cold weather we’ve had, would no doubt have been very much appreciated.

Our Children’s Learn to Crochet workshop was well attended, with 7 young ladies all trying their hand at the craft.

Some picked it up quickly, and some declared that they were simply “making knots”.

Proud of them all, though, for giving it a try.

And Amy enjoyed some very personalised tuition from Sam when she attended the Teens Learn to Sew workshop through the school holidays.

Sam showed Amy how to make stuffed toys from fabric scraps and a sock.  Amy was quite chuffed with her rainbow fish and had finished a sock-monkey by the end of the day.
