Clarissa will be running Art classes on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from January 6.
There will be 2 sessions each day.- 5-10-year-olds from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and 11 years and over (with adults welcome as well!) from 1-3 p.m.
The morning class – from 10 a.m. to 12 noon – is for 5 to 10-year-olds and the afternoon class – from 1-3 p.m. is for 11 years and over (with adults welcome as well!)
She has just released her class program for the first week.
Wednesday morning: Explore the rich history of Dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh, and recreate one of his famous work Sunflowers in watercolour with an oil pastel resist
Wednesday afternoon: Draw and watercolour a ship sailing on the ocean waves, inspired by famous American painter, Winslow Homer.
Thursday morning: Learn about Cubism, and its co-founder, Pablo Picasso, while recreating one of his later works, Le Coq in pastels.
Thursday afternoon: Recreate Van Gogh’s Starry Night in pastel.
Friday morning: Draw yourself in a likeness of Vincent Van Gogh in one of his many self-portraits, using your choice of medium.
Friday afternoon: Learn the basics of drawing the human face and form, inspired by one of the greatest artists and inventors, Leonardo da Vinci, using pencil and charcoal.
Megan will be running a simple woven wall-hanging workshop on Saturday January 9. At this workshop you will make your very own small hanging, using a piece of card and twine!
Then on Sunday 31 January, Leanne will run a Disappearing Patch Nine workshop, where you can learn how to make this quilt using a simple variation on the tradition nine patch block.
